A place to gather
Hiring a hall, a park space or a community room so the weekly shakha and family gatherings have a welcoming, reliable home.
Support our work
HSS is powered entirely by volunteers, and taking part always costs nothing. If you would like to give something back, the most valuable gift is your time and your seva — and, in time, practical support can help our forming community find its feet.
Why give
Everything HSS does is offered freely. There is no membership fee, no ticket to a shakha, and no obligation of any kind — everyone who shares our values is welcome, exactly as they are.
And yet a community that gathers, learns and serves together still needs a few practical things to make that possible: a comfortable place to meet, simple materials for the children's Balagokulam, the small costs of celebrating festivals (utsavs) as a family, the supplies that seva projects require, and the running of camps and youth activities. None of this pays a salary — HSS has no paid staff. Every hour of time and every peso given stays entirely within the community, put to work by volunteers for the benefit of all.
So when we speak of “support,” we mean it in the fullest sense: your presence, your hands, your encouragement, and — once we are properly set up to receive it — your generosity. All of it is seva, and all of it matters.
Where support goes
Small, practical things that let a forming community gather, learn and serve.
Hiring a hall, a park space or a community room so the weekly shakha and family gatherings have a welcoming, reliable home.
Storybooks, craft supplies, printed songs (geet) and simple games for Balagokulam, our children's program.
The shared costs of celebrating Diwali, Holi, Raksha Bandhan and other utsavs together — light, colour, prasad and joy.
Mats, space and simple refreshments for open yoga and Surya Namaskar sessions — offered freely to people of every background.
Helping young people take part in day camps and heritage activities that build character, friendship and confidence.
The supplies behind selfless service — from community clean-ups to helping neighbours in need. Nar Seva, Narayan Seva.
The most valuable gift
Long before any bank account or donation link, the thing our forming community needs most is people — families willing to gather, and volunteers willing to help.
In HSS, giving begins with seva — selfless service offered with no expectation of reward. You might come along to a shakha with your family, lend a hand at a yoga day or festival, share a skill, or help us organise a weekly gathering in your city. These gifts of time and heart are what actually build a community — and they are open to everyone, at no cost.
If you are deciding how best to support HSS in the Philippines, this is our honest answer: start with your time. It is the surest way to help us grow, and the most joyful.
You do not need any special background, experience or belief to help — only a willingness to take part in a warm, wholesome spirit. Bring your family, bring a friend, or simply bring yourself.
“Nar Seva, Narayan Seva” — service to humanity is service to the divine.
Financial contributions
As our community here is newly forming, we are taking the time to set up proper, transparent channels for financial giving before we invite anyone to contribute money.
We would rather be honest and a little slow than quick and unclear. When our giving channels are ready, we will publish them here in full — clearly, with receipts where appropriate, and alongside our organisational status. Until then, we are deliberately not placing a “donate” button on this page, because we will not ask for money through a channel we cannot yet stand behind.
These options are being prepared and will appear here as soon as they are ready:
If you would like to help with the practical side of a specific activity in the meantime, please just get in touch — we can talk it through openly, person to person.
Transparency & our status
Honesty is part of Sanskar, and it matters most where money is concerned. Here is exactly where things stand.
HSS in the Philippines is a new and forming community — a group of families and volunteers just beginning to gather. We do not currently make any claim about legal registration or tax status, and we will not until it is genuinely in place.
When formal registration and transparent giving channels are established, we will publish the details here — including our organisational status and how contributions are used — so that anyone who chooses to give can do so with complete confidence.
Whether you give an hour of your time, lend your hands at a festival, or simply share this page with a friend, you are already helping this community take shape. We are grateful for every kind of support — and for the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the whole world as one family, that brings us together.
Have a question about supporting our work, or an idea for how you would like to help? We would love to hear from you.
The best way to give
There is no fee, no obligation and no donation required — only a warm welcome. Come and take part, and help our community here take root, one gathering at a time.
