Attend as a family
The simplest way to begin is to come along to a gathering — a shakha (branch) — and take part. Children, parents and elders are all welcome, together.

There is a place for you and your family in HSS — and no fee to join. Come as you are, take part at your own pace, and help a warm new community take shape here in the Philippines.
Where to begin
There is no single right way in — pick whatever feels natural, and we will meet you there. Every one of these is genuinely helpful to a community that is only just forming.

Explore ways to helpIf there is no gathering near you yet, this is where you can help most. Join a handful of families to begin a weekly shakha in your own city.
Start one in your areaTell a friend, a neighbour or your family. A quiet word to someone who would love this is one of the kindest ways to help us grow.
Share and stay in touchWho can join
Everyone who shares our values is welcome. There is no membership fee, no application, and no obligation to keep coming.
We understand Hindu in its broadest, most inclusive and pluralistic sense — many paths, languages and traditions, united by shared ideals rather than by any single practice, sect or background. You do not need to know Sanskrit, be from any particular community, or have taken part in anything like this before.
Families with young children, students and young professionals, and elders looking for warm company are all equally at home. Curious newcomers who simply want to understand what HSS is are welcome too — this whole idea rests on an ancient conviction that the whole world is one family.
वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — “the whole world is one family.”
There is nothing to sign and nothing to pay. To “join” simply means to start taking part — as often or as little as you like. Those who take part are known warmly as swayamsevaks (men) and sevikas (women): ordinary people giving their time freely.

Your first visit
If you have never been to a shakha, it is completely natural to feel unsure. Here is exactly how a first visit tends to unfold — gentle, friendly, and entirely at your own pace.
Come along
There is nothing to prepare and nothing to bring. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, bring the whole family if you like, and simply turn up. You are welcome to arrive as a quiet observer — there is no pressure to take part in anything.
Namaste
A volunteer will greet you, introduce you to a few friendly faces, and explain what is happening. Ask as many questions as you like. If it is your first time, someone will happily stay alongside you so you never feel lost.
Join in
A gathering follows a gentle rhythm — light physical activity (Sharirik) such as yoga, Surya Namaskar and joyful team games; then discussion, stories and song (Bauddhik); and a closing prayer (Prarthana) for the well-being of all. Children take part in Balagokulam, our program for the young. Join whatever appeals; sit out whatever does not.
Belong
Afterwards there is usually time for conversation and a chance to get to know people. Come back whenever you like — next week, next month, or whenever it suits your family. There is never any obligation, only an open door.
Volunteer & seva
A forming community grows on the goodwill of its volunteers. Whatever your skills, your time or your season of life, there is a way to contribute — no experience required, just willingness.
Help organise and take part in acts of service — visiting elders, supporting neighbours in need, clean-up drives and health days. Nar Seva, Narayan Seva — service to people is service to the divine.
Enjoy being around children? Help run our Balagokulam — guiding stories, games, crafts and songs that pass on values and heritage to the youngest members with warmth and patience.
If you practise yoga or the sun salutations (Surya Namaskar), help lead gentle sessions for all ages and abilities — a gift of wellness for body and mind that anyone can receive.
Sing, play an instrument, or love telling a good tale? Lead the songs (geet) and share stories of inspiring figures that make each gathering come alive.
Offer behind-the-scenes skills — photography, writing, design, social media, or translation between English, Filipino, Hindi and other languages — to help tell our story with care.
Welcome newcomers, help arrange a venue, or organise refreshments and logistics. Warm hospitality is its own quiet seva — and it is what makes people feel they belong.
Grow the community
Our first gatherings have begun in Metro Manila, and everyone is welcome to take part. In other cities, a shakha usually begins with just a few committed families and volunteers who decide to gather — and that could be you.
Our main shakha meets Sundays, 9:00–10:30 AM at the Hindu Temple, Paco, and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Shakha for children and youth meets Saturdays, 5:30–7:00 PM at the Crimarcel Basketball Court. Just come along.
Message us on WhatsAppIf you and a few families in Cebu would like a weekly gathering for yoga, values and fellowship, tell us — every shakha starts with a handful of willing hearts.

Register your interestYour city not listed? Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao are only a starting point — families live across the country, from Baguio and Iloilo to Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro and beyond. As groups begin to form, we will list them here with their day, time and venue. For now, please tell us where you are in the form below.
Say hello
Tell us a little about yourself and how you would like to take part. There is no obligation and no fee — just leave your details and a volunteer will be in touch warmly and without pressure.
Your details have reached us. A volunteer will get back to you soon with a warm, no-pressure hello. Welcome to the beginning of something good.
Prefer just to stay in the loop? A simple newsletter is on the way — a gentle, occasional update on new gatherings, festivals and yoga days as our community grows. For now, choose “Just keep me informed” in the form above and we will add you when it launches.
Everyone is welcome
Still have a question, or would rather just talk to a person first? That is perfectly fine. Reach out any time, and one of our volunteers will be glad to help.
