Our community in pictures

Gallery

A window into the warmth of our gatherings. As our community here takes shape, this album will grow event by event — always shared with care, and with the consent of the families pictured.

Our gallery is where the spirit of the shakha (the weekly gathering) comes to life — children laughing through a game of kho-kho, families raising their arms in Surya Namaskar, the glow of lamps at an utsav (festival).

As our community in the Philippines is only just beginning, we are building this album honestly, one gathering at a time. Rather than fill this page with stock imagery or borrowed pictures, we would rather it grow slowly and truthfully — so that everything you see here really is us. Photographs from our local gatherings will be added event by event, always shared with care and with the consent of the families pictured.

Until then, the tiles below stand ready — a set of albums waiting to be filled as our story unfolds.

Albums, taking shape

Grouped by the moments we share

Each album will be filled as we gather. For now, these are intentional, waiting spaces — not missing pictures.

Why the gallery is still growing

HSS in the Philippines is a new and forming community, and we are gathering our first photographs event by event. As real pictures arrive — with the permission of everyone in them — they will replace these placeholder tiles, each captioned with the city and the occasion. Nothing here is a broken image; it is simply an album we have not written yet.

Yoga & Surya Namaskar

Guided yoga and sun salutations (Surya Namaskar) for wellness of body and mind — including our part in International Day of Yoga observances.

Utsavs & festivals

The colour and joy of the year's utsavs (festivals) — from the lamps of Diwali to the colours of Holi and the ties of Raksha Bandhan.

Seva & community service

Selfless service (seva) offered shoulder to shoulder with our neighbours — clean-ups, care for elders, and helping those in need.

Balagokulam

Our children's program (Balagokulam) — heritage and values shared through games, yoga, stories, songs (geet) and crafts.

A space kept for you

Add your photos to the albums

Were you at a shakha, an utsav, a yoga morning or a seva activity? Your pictures — with everyone in them happy to be shown — can be the very first real photographs in these albums, each captioned with the city and the occasion.

Send them safely over WhatsApp to our pracharak (volunteer organiser), and we will add them with care. Photos of children are shared only with a parent's or guardian's consent.

With care

Photo consent & family privacy

A gathering is a place of trust, and we treat every photograph the same way. Before a picture of anyone appears here, we ask for their consent — and for children, we ask their parents or guardians first. If you would ever prefer that a photograph be taken down, a quiet word to our volunteers is all it takes.

We share images to convey the warmth of our community, never to single anyone out. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world is one family — begins with looking after one another's dignity and privacy.

  • Consent firstWe photograph and publish only with the agreement of those pictured.
  • Extra care for childrenPhotos of children appear only with a parent's or guardian's permission.
  • Remove on requestAsk us at any time and we will take a photograph down, no questions asked.
  • Shared to upliftImages are used to celebrate our community, never to embarrass or expose anyone.

Help fill these albums

Share your photos with us

Were you at one of our gatherings, camera in hand? Your pictures could be the very first in these albums.

If you have photographs from a shakha, an utsav, a yoga session or a seva activity — and everyone in them is happy to be shown — we would love to include them, with a caption crediting the city and occasion. Please reach out to our volunteer coordinator to share them safely.

To be added

A dedicated contact for sending in photos — a volunteer coordinator's email or WhatsApp — will be published here once confirmed. In the meantime, please use our general contact form and let us know you have pictures to share.
